Pettit EZPoxy Topside Paint, 3175 Gloss White Qt

Pettit EZ-Poxy topside paint 3175 is a single-part, high-gloss polyurethane marine paint in white. It is known for being easy to apply and is suitable for use on fiberglass, wood, and metal surfaces above the waterline.

• UV protection: Advanced ultraviolet filters are included to provide superior gloss retention and durability.
• Ease of use: It is more forgiving and easier to apply for DIY users than more complex two-part paints.
• Coverage: Approximately 600 square feet per gallon.
• Drying time: Drying times vary by temperature, from about 1.5 hours at 90°F to 6 hours at 50°F.

Application details

• Surface prep: The surface must be clean and free of dirt, grease, and old paint. Bare surfaces like wood or fiberglass may need sealing or priming. For existing paint in good condition, sand lightly before applying EZ-Poxy.
• Application methods: EZ-Poxy can be applied by brush, roller, or spray.
  • Roll-and-tip: For a smooth finish, use a short-nap roller to apply the paint and immediately follow by lightly leveling with a brush.
  • Spraying: Thin the paint with 
    Pettit 121 Spraying Thinner
     before applying.
• Coats: A minimum of two coats is recommended. Avoid applying thick coats or multiple coats in one day, as this can lead to insufficient drying and soft paint films.
• Additives: For a non-skid surface on decks, you can mix 
  Pettit 9900 Skidless Compound
   into the paint.
• Curing: Allow the finish to cure for at least seven days before polishing or waxing.
