Lat 26° Surface Prep is a marine-grade cleaning product designed to prepare and cleanse boat surfaces before applying a ceramic coating. The cleaner is suitable for use on painted surfaces and gelcoat.
Product features

  • Usage instructions: Spray the product on the surface and wipe with a new or clean microfiber cloth.
  • Application note: Avoid spraying directly onto a hot surface to prevent streaking. If streaking occurs, cool the surface with water and re-wipe.

Surface preparation process
For optimal results when applying a ceramic coating, Lat 26 recommends a multi-step preparation process: 
  1. Initial cleaning: Use Lat 26° All-Purpose Clean to remove heavy dirt, exhaust, and other petroleum contaminants.
  2. Oxidation removal: If necessary, polish the surface with a product like Lat 26° Compound #1 or Cut & Polish to remove oxidation.
  3. Final cleanse: After all heavy cleaning and polishing is complete, use Lat 26° Surface Prep to mist the paint or gelcoat and wipe down with a microfiber towel to remove any remaining residues.
