  • Description

Lat 26 Degrees Compound #1 is a marine-grade heavy-duty compound used to remove severe oxidation and damaged surfaces from boat and yacht paint and gelcoat. According to the manufacturer, it can also be used to remove 1500-grit sanding scratches. The compound is part of a multi-step polishing system designed to restore surfaces to like-new condition.

Uses

  • For boats and yachts: It is formulated to address heavily oxidized and damaged surfaces on marine paint and gelcoat. The uniform compounding beads break down as you work, which helps to reduce swirl marks.
  • For automotive detailing: For cars and other vehicles, Lat 26° recommends using Compound #1 specifically for headlight restoration.
