Application and best practices
- Surface preparation: For best results, apply to a clean, polished, and dry surface. For especially dirty areas, Lat 26° suggests first using their All-Purpose Clean product.
- Applying the sealant: Apply a small amount of the product to a foam applicator or microfiber towel. Wipe until the surface is thoroughly covered, then wipe off any excess with a clean microfiber towel. For larger areas, it can also be applied with a random orbital buffer and a soft foam pad.
- Curing time: Allow the product to cure for 12 to 24 hours. While the surface can get wet after about an hour, waiting at least 6 hours is recommended before getting it wet.
-
Maintenance: For quick touch-ups and maintenance, you can use a detail spray, such as
Lat 26° Detail Spray.
- For darker finishes: While Carbon Guard is recommended for white paint, Lat 26° advises using their UV Heat Guard product for darker colors.
