Epifanes Clear Varnish CV1000

Epifanes Clear Gloss Varnish, 1000ml, a traditional marine spar varnish known for its deep, ultra-high-gloss finish and long-lasting durability. It is formulated with tung oil, phenolic and alkyd resins, and UV filters, providing excellent water resistance and flexibility.

Application guidelines

For best results, you must properly prepare the surface and apply multiple coats, thinning the first coats to ensure proper adhesion.

• First coat: Thin 50% with Epifanes Brush Thinner for Paint & Varnish. Sand with 220-grit paper after 24 hours at 65°F.
• Second coat: Thin 25%. Sand with 280-grit paper after 24 hours at 65°F.
• Third coat: Thin 15%. Sand with 320-grit paper after 24 hours at 65°F.
• At least 4 more coats: Thin 0–5%. Sand with 320–400-grit paper after 24 hours at 65°F.
